My name is Jacqui and I have been teaching for eight years.
I am really excited to join The Grove Primary School and I am looking forward to getting to know all of the lovely children across the school.
I love to get involved in and teach all subjects but I particularly enjoy teaching maths and seeing the moment where children are inspired as they develop an understanding of what they are being taught. Science is another of my favourite subjects. Seeing children learn and develop an understanding of the world around them is a joy to see and if I can encourage children to believe they can contribute to these areas and the development of the world in the future I would feel accomplished in my role. I hope to inspire children to learn lots and have some fun whilst doing it
In my previous career I was airline cabin crew and I spent a lot of time travelling to many countries. I love to share my experiences with the children and tell them about the places I have visited.
When I’m not in school I spend time with my family. We like to go camping and walking and exploring new areas. My daughter has recently moved away to university and is also learning to be a teacher, following in my footsteps! I also enjoy meeting up with friends and particularly going out and trying different kinds of delicious food.
To have the opportunity to be a teacher here and be a part of The Grove community and school is an absolute privilege.
