Finance

Some children in school may require additional funding in order to meet their needs. As a school, we work with the Local Authority and External Agencies to determine what additional funding we may require to best support the children in our care.

The school funding formula is generated to include financial provision to specifically support pupils’ individual special needs.

This funding is prioritised to tailor make learning to ensure small steps of progress are continually made by all SEND learners.

Each year, the school is allocated a budget to help with the provision for SEN children. In the financial year 2022-2023 the school received £71,197.95 in its SEN notional budget.

This money is used to support learners with SEND in school including the cost of support staff, pastoral worker, interventions and staff training.

At The Grove Primary School, for those pupils with High Needs, Costed Provision Maps are created with detailed evidence of supporting resources provided in school. This builds a portfolio of the progress each child makes and additional funding and financial support can be applied for from the Local Authority.

Detailed assessments and target tracking ensure that all learners achieve and make progress at The Grove Primary School.

If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please Contact the SENDCo Carly Grundy who will be able to advise you further.
